William Stanley Rau, Jr. (Age 91)
On Saturday, March 29, 2014, of Takoma Park, MD was born in Washington D.C. at Georgetown University Hospital to the late William S. and Edna Francis Rau. Brother of the late Richard A. Rau. Also survived locally by Maureen Smith (Douglas) Breitenbach, Ronald E. Smith, Stephen Richey and numerous relatives. He was a 1942 Central High School graduate, served in World War II in the 87th Infantry Division and spent 36 years with Bell Systems in D.C. until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Telecom Pioneers, Boy Scouts of America, Knights of Columbus, Life member of the Rosensteel Council,2169, World War II Memorial Charter Member and a member of the 87th Infantry Division Association. Mr. Rau was an avid movie enthusiast and former bowler.
